SERVICE MODE ADJUSTMENTS AND POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 

TEST MODES OTHER THAN THE TEST MODE MENU
These are executable test mode even if not entering the test mode menu.
Cold Reset
It can initialize various backup information.
Procedure:
1. Press the [POWER] button to turn the power on.
2. Press the [POWER] button for ten seconds.
3. The message “RESET” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, then turn the power off.
TEST MODES IN THE TEST MODE MENU
These are the test modes done in the test mode menu.
Setting method of the test mode menu:
1. Press the [POWER] button to turn the power on.
2. Press the two buttons of the [INPUT] and [VOL +] simultaneously for five seconds.
3. The message “PANEL” blinks on the fluorescent indicator tube and enter the test mode menu.
Releasing method of the test mode menu:
Press the [POWER] button to release the test mode menu.
Panel Test Mode
It can confirm the lighting of fluorescent indicator tube and LEDs,
operation of buttons, display of model name, destination and software version.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. In the state of blinking the “PANEL” on the fluorescent indicator tube, press the [INPUT] button.
3. All segments in the fluorescent indicator tube and all LEDs are lighted up.
4. When pressing the [VOL +] button, the display on the fluorescent indicator tube repeatedly changes in order from all lighting > pattern 1 (lamp LED (white color) is lighted up) > pattern 2 (lamp LED (blue color) are lighted up).
5. In the state of step 4, press the [VOL –] button and “K 0” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube.
Each time a button is pressed, “K 0” value increases. However, once a button is pressed, it is no longer taken into account. When pressing the all buttons, “OK” and “K 5” are alternately displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube.
6. In the state of step 4, press the [INPUT] button and model name “CT770” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube.
Each time the [VOL +] button is pressed, the display changes from destination > MC (m-com) version > SY (system) version > UI version > TA (AMP) version > DS (DSP) version > BT (Bluetooth) version > NF (NFC) version > HD (HDMI) version, > CE (CEC) version > PF (platform) version > WS (wireless sound) version in this order, and returns to the model name display.
7. When [INPUT] button is pressed while the each version is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, year, month and day of the software creation is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube.
When [INPUT] button is pressed again, the display returns to the each version display.
Releasing method:
Press the [POWER] button to release the test mode menu. (When the “K 0” to “K 4” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, press the [POWER] button on the remote commander to release the test mode menu)
Model Name Display Mode
It can display the model name.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the model name “CT770”.
Destination Display Mode
It can display the destination.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the destination.
MC Version Display Mode
It can display the MC (
m-com) version.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “MC.X.XXX” (X.XXX: MC (
m-com) version).
Serial Flash Version Display Mode
It can display the SF (serial flash) version.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “SF.X.XXX” (X.XXX: SF (serial flash) version).
DSP Sound Number Display Mode
It can display the SN (DSP sound number) number.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “SN XXX” (XXX: DSP sound number (000 to 998)).
Note: “SN ---” is displayed when the information of serial flash is not able
to be acquired.
BT Module F/W Version Display Mode
It can display the BT (Bluetooth) module firmware varsion.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “BTM.X.XX” (X.XX: BT (Bluetooth) module firmware version).
AMP Test Mode
(It is displayed “AMP” on the fluorescent indicator tube) Not used for the servicing. Press the [POWER] button if having entered this mode.
Tone Test Mode
It can confirm the test tone output from each speaker.
Preparation:
Connect the Bar Speaker (SA-CT770) and the Subwoofer (SAWCT770) by wireless.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “T TONE”, press the [INPUT] button.
3. The message “TONE.ON” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube momentarily and enter the tone test mode.
4. The output speaker is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube. At the same time, test tone is output from speaker. (The output speaker repeatedly changes automatically in following order)

User Update Mode

Press the [POWER] button if having entered this mode.
HDCP Key Read Mode

NFC Test Mode
(It is displayed “NFC.TST” on the fluorescent indicator tube)

Press the [POWER] button if having entered this mode.
Auto Standby Test Mode
It can change the auto standby time for 3 minutes or 20 minute.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “T. STBY”, press the [INPUT] button on the main unit.
3. The message “20 MIN” or “3 MIN”is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to change the auto standby time.
Releasing method:
Press the [POWER] button to release the test mode menu.
Wireless Sound Test Mode
It can display the
m-com version of Subwoofer (SA-WCT770).
Note :More than one item may be displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, but it is not used for the servicing other than “VER.CHE”.
Preparation:
• Prepare the remote commander attached to this unit.
Remote commander:
RM-ANP114 (US and Canadian models)
RM-ANP115 (Except US and Canadian models)
• Connect the Bar Speaker (SA-CT770) and the Subwoofer (SAWCT770) by wireless.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “WS TST”, press the [INPUT] button.
3. The message “FACTRY” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube and enter the wireless sound test mode.
4. Press the [UP/DOWN] buttons on the remote commander, select the “VER.CHE”, and press the [ENTER ] button on the remote commander.
5. The
m-com version of Subwoofer (SA-WCT770) is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube.
6. When [UP /DOWN] buttons on the remote commander is pressed while the m-com version of Subwoofer (SA-WCT770) is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, year, month and day of the creation is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube.
When [UP/DOWN] buttons on the remote commander is pressed again, the display returns to the m-com version of Subwoofer (SA-WCT770) display.
Releasing method:
Press the [POWER] button to release the test mode menu.
Wireless Sound Cold Reset
It can initialize various backup information of Subwoofer (SAWCT770).
Preparation:
Connect the Bar Speaker (SA-CT770) and the Subwoofer (SAWCT770) by wireless.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “WS RST”, press the [INPUT] button.
3. The power indicator LED on the Subwoofer (SA-WCT770) turns red and flashes, then turns on amber.
4. Pull out the power cord on the Subwoofer (SA-WCT770) from
an outlet and insert the power cord again.
Cold Reset
It can initialize various backup information.
Procedure:
1. Enter the test mode menu.
2. Press the [VOL +]/[VOL –] buttons to select the “RESET”, press the [INPUT] button.
3. The message “RESET” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube, then turn the power off.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Motor unit:
The type no. plate is placed on the outside of the lower housing (38). To open the motor unit, remove the inlay by pressing the inlay on the cord winder push-button and remove 2 screws (E). (The inlay is mounted on the cover by means of a snap construction). Use a long Philips screwdriver 9965 000 08332 to remove the 6 screws (F) of the lower housing / top housing. (Holes in lower housing are 13 cm deep). For safety reasons, make sure that the cap clamps do not come above the panel surface (31) after replacing of the switch (30). If the lower housing (38) must be separated from the top housing (15) always replace waterproofing foam (22). Press hard on the housing during assembly of this unit to prevent the foam from moving during assembly. The cord winder lever (14) must be assembled through the top cover at an angle (as shown in the fi gure) to operate the cord winder. Depending on the national version, the cleaner has a 6.3 or 9.3 m cord. The spring unit (101) is standard provided with a 9.3 m spring. To demount the cord winder use TORX screw driver no. T15, which is one of a set consisting of T20, T15, T10, T9, T8 and T6 4822 395 50145.

To check the shampoo circuit, it is neccessary to use the male plug (61) to open the valve in the female plug (32). If pos. 101 is replaced, shaft A must be lubricated with silicone grease (A). This grease may not be used on terminals (103) or on conductors (102).

HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MODE
1) Turn on the main power switch to place this set in standby mode.
2) Press the buttons on the remote commander as follows, and entering service mode.
DISPLAY >CHANNEL 5> VOLUME + >POWER ON
3) Service mode display.
Note: First of all, when you enter Service Mode, you can see “Digital” service mode. Whenever you press “OPTIONS” or “JUMP” on remote, each service mode is changed. “Digital” -> “Chassis” -> “Sub”
WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENT
Note: Please execute this adjustment if necessary. Change Data of “Digital” service mode. (“006 WB” category)
a. Press “0” or “10” on remote to enter WB adjustment mode.
b. Press number key “1”~”6” directly. “*” stamp move.
c. Press “12 / enter / select” to decide and advance next step. When returning on the previous page, press “return”.
d. Change data by number key “0”~”9” directly. (0-255)
e. Press “12 / enter / select” to save data. It shows red “WRITE”. It indicate writing is processing.
f. Writing process is done at this point.
SAVE CHANGING DATA
1) Change Data of “Chassis” or “Sub” service mode
2) Write data for “Chassis” or “Sub” service mode
a. Press “Mute” on remote. It shows green “SERVICE” changes to green “WRITE”.
b. Press “0” or “enter” on remote. Green “WRITE” changes to red “WRITE”. It indicate writing is processing.
c. After a while, red “WRITE” changes to green “SERVICE”. Writing process is done at this point.
3) TV reboot is necessary for applying data change.
CHANGE DATA
Note: “Digital” service mode don’t have to Save. (except “002 MODEL” category)
1) Change Data of “Digital” service mode. (except “003 DIG_SRV_MODE” category)
a. Press “2 / 5” on remote to select (up / down) category.
b. Press “1 / 4” on remote to select (up / down) Item.
c. Press “0 / 10” on remote to select item.
2) Change Data of “Digital” service mode. ( “003 DIG_SRV_MODE” category) “003 DIG_SRV_MODE” is one category of “Digital” service mode.
Please note because this operation is special.
a. Press “2 / 5” on remote to select “003 DIG_SRV_MODE”.
b. Press “1 / 4” on remote to select (up / down) Item.
c. Press “0 / 10” on remote to select item.
d. Press number key “1”~”9” directly. “*” stamp move.

Note: This procedure operation, when replaced the B board.

After a while, red “EXE-RST” changes to green “SERVICE”.
And all LED lights.

SELF DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION
The units in this manual contain a self-diagnostic function. If an error occurs, the STANDBY LED will automatically begin to flash.
The number of times the LED flashes translates to a probable source of the problem. A definition of the STANDBY LED flash indicators is listed in the instruction manual for the user’s knowledge and reference. If an error symptom cannot be reproduced, the remote commander can be used to review the failure occurrence data stored in memory to reveal past problems and how often these problems occur.
DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDICATORS
When an error occurs, the STANDBY LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas. Result for all of the following diagnostic items are displayed on screen. If the screen displays a “0”, no error has occurred .

SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SCREEN DISPLAY
For errors with symptoms such as “power sometimes shuts off” or “screen sometimes goes out” that cannot be confirmed, it is possible to bring up past occurrences of failure for confirmation on the screen:

Exiting the Self-diagnostic screen
To exit the Self Diagnostic screen, turn off the power to the TV by pressing the POWER button on the remote or the POWER button on
the TV.
